Jan 22, 2019 was a horrific day in New York as Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a bill allowing abortions up to birth.

As a “celebration” for this new law, the governor ordered the pink lighting of the top of the World Trade Center, along with other major buildings in New York.

However, the twisted and horrific logic is this:

Eleven unborn children lost their lives during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.  The 9/11 memorial lists the mothers and their unborn children.

This memorial recognizes an unborn child as a human, while the governor and their legislators celebrate the killing of unborn children.

First, let’s look at the Governor’s post:

In response to his announcement, pro-life advocate Obianuju Ekeocha said this:

Her tweet reads, “You lit the spire to celebrate the abortion of the unborn in the same location where I went to weep over the memorial of 11 UNBORN children killed by terrorists. You memorialize the lives of those killed by terrorists but turn around to celebrate those killed by abortionists.”

The Susan B. Anthony List also responded to this hypocrisy on their Facebook page and website.

Here’s Susan B. Anthony president Marjorie Dannenfelser’s statement:

“The World Trade Center is a powerful symbol of American resilience and unity following one of the most terrible acts of violence against innocent people in our nation’s history.

“Victims of that terrorist attack include unborn children and their mothers who are remembered at the 9-11 memorial.

“Using this landmark to cheer a sweeping assault on the lives of the most vulnerable is wrong and divisive.

“We grieve for the thousands of innocent unborn girls and boys of New York who will perish as a result of Cuomo’s extreme agenda, who are forgotten by so many of those in power.”

Let us pray for the conversion of all abortion supporters, especially Gov. Cuomo!
