Why Praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet to Calm a Storm is Super Powerful
Did you know praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet to calm a storm is very powerful?
Category 4 storm Hurricane Helene hit the southeastern United States last week and caused tragic, detrimental damage. The storm claimed at least 200 lives and the states continue to recover from the damage.
Hurricane Milton is currently a Category 4 storm. It is expected to make landfall on the west coast of Florida as a Category 3 storm on Wed., Oct. 9, 2024.
While still recovering from Hurricane Helene, Florida residents are evacuating for safety. Some reports say Hurricane Milton is one of the strongest in Florida's history.
President Joe Biden warned this hurricane "could be the worst storm to hit Florida in over a century."
Amid these terrible natural disasters, there is a powerful prayer you can recite asking for God to calm storms: the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
Jesus told Saint Faustina during an intense storm to "say the chaplet I have taught you, and the storm will cease."
She began praying and the storm subsided.
Here's the story Saint Faustina wrote in her diary:
"Today I was awakened by a great storm. The wind was raging, and it was raining in torrents, thunderbolts striking again and again. I began to pray that the storm would do no harm, when I heard the words: 'Say the chaplet I have taught you, and the storm will cease.' I began immediately to say the chaplet and hadn't even finished it when the storm suddenly ceased, and I heard the words; 'Through the chaplet you will obtain everything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will.'" (Diary, 1731)
