Carlo Acutis, an Italian Catholic teenager who passed away from leukemia at age 15 in 2006, is set to be canonized on April 27, 2025.

Soon to be recognized as the first millennial saint, his model of holiness and reverence demonstrated his deep and steadfast relationship with Christ, remaining a beacon of light for all he encountered.

Carlo Acutis was a huge fan of video games, computer programming, and animation. Fascinated by the details of Eucharistic miracles, he combined his love of computers with his faith by creating a website listing 136 of these miracles to inspire others.

He remains an inspiring role model for children and adults navigating the digital age. He reminds us that technology, when used in moderation, can be a force for good.

Recently, a new music video inspired by the life of Blessed Carlo Acutis was released.

Sophistipop artist Le Concorde, the brainchild of Los Angeles-based Catholic singer-songwriter Stephen Becker, released the single “Corpus Christi," accompanied by an intriguing digital pixel art video intricately crafted by Sara Alvarez.

The video incorporates Acutis’ passion for computers while expressing his undying love for the Eucharist.

It depicts Acutis working on his famous website cataloging Eucharistic miracles, entering the computer "matrix," and finding himself climbing the ladder of ascent, facing harassment from demons and receiving aid from angels as he makes his way toward Heaven, as if in a video game.

Songwriter Stephen Becker composed this dedicatory piece after drawing inspiration from a visit to Santiago de Compostela—the destination of the Way of St. James—in 2019.

Becker shares insight into his creative process, stating,

“‘Corpus Christi’ is a love letter to beauty, the Catholic faith, and resilience. It’s a song about miracles and the future patron saint of the internet, Blessed Carlo Acutis.
"I wanted the song to sound exquisite—like jewelry for your ears—precision, vibrant colors, unexpected flourishes. It all tied together for me, thinking about the beauty of a bejeweled monstrance, incense spiraling around it, and angels in attendance.”

“Corpus Christi” was written to inspire others in anticipation of Carlo Acutis’ upcoming canonization and to highlight the beauty of Christ’s true presence in the Eucharist.

The song encourages both the faithful and lukewarm believers to experience a renewed sense of wonder for the Catholic faith, using imagery of the Sacred Heart and the Eucharist in a way that connects with Acutis’ passion for computers and video games.

Carlo Acutis’ life continues to inspire generations, proving that holiness and modern technology can coexist in a way that glorifies God, paving the way for his global recognition as patron saint of the internet.

Future Saint Carlo Acutis, pray for us!
