ChurchPOP reached out to Br. Mary, who provided a photo of the singer and actress attending a daily Mass.
Here’s the photo below:
“There’s a nice community that often goes for daily masses,” Brother Mary told ChurchPOP. “I know that Olivia went a few times during my novitiate year, but not every day.”
ChurchPOP reported on Aug. 9 that Newton-John’s favorite prayer is the Our Father. She said in a podcast that she believes in the power of prayer.
“I believe in prayer. I think prayer is very powerful.”
The singer did not reveal her specific faith in the podcast, but discussed New Age and Buddhist practices, which are contrary to Catholic teaching. New Age practices open doors to witchcraft and the occult.
Often intertwined, St. John Paul II once referred to Buddhism as an “atheistic system.”
Pray for the soul of Olivia Newton-John!
