Superman is known for his superhuman strength, flowing red cape, and ability to rescue an innocent person in trouble. This time, however, he appeared a little different--wearing liturgical vestments!
All jokes aside, one priest prevented a child's accident and the internet loved it!
The video was posted on social media by the Cianorte Eucharistic Sanctuary of the Diocese of Umuarama in Cianorte, Brazil.
In the video, which appears to be during the Holy Mass, a small child dressed as an angel climbs the altar stairs, which is slightly higher than the rest of the church. She quickly approaches the edge and prepares to come down on her own.
Upon seeing the situation, Father Gabriel Henrique immediately ran to catch the child, taking her to the seat next to him.
The viral video with over three million views also uses the Superman theme song in the background. You can also see the tense reaction of the people, who applaud at the end.
“Our hero wears a cassock!" the sanctuary said in the caption of the post.
