If you like to play video games, why not learn about the faith at the same time?
This seems to be the idea behind a cool-looking new video game, Jesus Christ RPG. Available on the gaming website Steam since March 2016 from the developer Wholetone Games, Jesus Christ RPG let’s you “play as Jesus Christ and the Apostles in turn-based battles.”

According to a longer description of the game, “Jesus Christ RPG deals with the period between the baptism and the transfiguration of Jesus Christ.”
“Like many other Role Playing Games,” it explains, “this one features turn based battles. You also must undertake tasks as Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene, Simon Peter and Judas Iscariot.”
“This game is for anyone who enjoys playing role playing video games or history or religion or any of the previous options.”
For those wondering about the name, “RPG” is an acronym for “role-playing game,” which is a game in which “the player controls the actions of a main character immersed in some well-defined world.”
While the game itself is free to download, for $1.99 you can download a unique soundtrack to accompany the game. It is only available on Windows (sorry Mac users!).
Warning before downloading: while the game has hundreds of positive reviews, a few of the negative reviews say that their anti-virus software thought the game was a virus. There might be a virus included with the game, or the virus software may be wrong, but download at your own risk.
