Mother Angelica's Spectacular Eucharist Shrine Featured in Inspiring Short Documentary
This is so beautiful!
Curbed is a secular website and Facebook page dedicated to architecture, design, and real estate. Among other things, they produce super high quality and beautiful short videos about amazing architectural wonders. And the recently featured Mother Angelica’s Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, AL!
The short is only about two and half minutes (you can watch it at the end of this article) and is certainly worth your time.
Mother Angelica, foundress of EWTN, was divinely inspired to build the shrine while she was traveling in South America in 1995. While praying in front of a statue of the infant Jesus in Bogotá, Colombia, the statue came alive! He told her to “build me a temple,” and she fell into a state of religious ecstasy. When she got home to Alabama, she got right to work on the shrine, the $50 million cost of which was funded by just a few anonymous donors. You can read more about the amazing story of Mother Angelica’s mystical visions here.
You can learn more about the shrine and how to visit it on its website.
