Actor Mark Wahlberg Honors the Blessed Virgin Mary in Viral Video
Actor and producer Mark Wahlberg recently paid homage to the Blessed Virgin Mary in a video published on his official Instagram account.
While the Sept. 24 video is brief and contains a shoutout to the Hallow App, it also loudly proclaims his love for the Catholic faith and Our Lady.
While praying and making the Sign of the Cross, Wahlberg kneels before a large statue of Our Lady and encourages his followers to "stay prayed up."
As of this writing, Wahlberg's video generated almost 240,000 likes, over 5,000 comments, and two million views.

The video is one of many Wahlberg published encouraging followers to pray.
In a viral video published on Aug. 6, the actor prays in front of a Sacred Heart of Jesus statue before he enters a Catholic Church. The video also generated a viral response with almost 11 million views.
In a video published on Sun., Sept. 10, Wahlberg stands before a cross and again encourages his followers to pray. He concludes with the Sign of the Cross. The video generated more than 10 million views.
On Sun., Sept. 17, Wahlberg made the Sign of the Cross in front of Saint Joseph's Cathedral in San Diego, Calif. The video also generated a viral response with almost five million views.
Wahlberg is often vocal about his Catholic faith.
In 2015, Wahlberg emceed during Pope Francis' visit for the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia, Pa.
Then in 2016, Wahlberg encouraged vocations to the priesthood for the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors in Boston.
The actor also published yearly Ash Wednesday messages and celebrated his daughter's First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
More recently, however, Wahlberg funded, produced, and acted in the film, "Father Stu."
He portrayed Father Stuart Long, a boxer-turned-Catholic priest who had a “religious experience” in the hospital and converted to Catholicism, realizing his call to the priesthood during his baptism.
