Are you feeling overwhelmed by the noise of daily life?

In this episode of “The Catholic Talk Show,” Ryan Scheel and Ryan Dellacrosse discuss prayers and devotions for Lent with Alex Jones, CEO of the popular Catholic prayer app Hallow. They reveal a game-changing prayer practice that could transform your Lent!

Could Silence Be the Secret?

Lent isn’t about piling on endless devotions. It's about changing our hearts through quiet intimacy with God.

Jones says that by “learning to sit in silence with the Lord for 10 minutes, there is nothing more incredible than the contemplative relationship that the Lord calls us to in this silence."

What could happen in your spiritual life if you committed to these 10 minutes of silent prayer each day?

A Radical Way to Grow in Faith!

Our noisy, distracted world can make silence seem almost impossible. However, Jones shares that Cardinal Sarah teaches how "God calls us in the silence, he calls us in the still, small voice."

Entering into silence with God is radically countercultural, opening our hearts to listen to His voice more clearly than ever before.

How to Truly Listen This Lent.

Try setting aside your busy devotions and simply be with God.

"Prayer is really, foundationally about giving your heart to the Lord and just spending time with this God who loves you and letting Him change your life radically," Jones explains.

Instead of doing more and more, just focus on being still in God’s presence. He believes this simple practice leads to a deeper peace and stronger faith.

The guys say that embracing silence during Lent could genuinely change your life!
