A viral video surfaced showing what appears to be an incense halo above Pope Francis’ head at the May 23, 2021 Pentecost Mass.
As the pope distributes incense during the Preparation of the Gifts, a halo of smoke appears above his head. The halo then breaks in two and flows down upon his face after a few seconds.

The video uploaded on June 6 generated more than 450,000 views as of this writing.
