Does the road to holiness start by "logging on" to your faith?

In this episode of The Catholic Talk Show, Ryan Scheel and Ryan DellaCrosse join Dario Mobini from WorldYouthDay.com to discuss the life of the soon-to-be first millennial saint, Blessed Carlo Acutis.

The guys explain that although he was a regular teen who loved video games, computer programming, and hanging out with his friends, Blessed Carlo also nurtured a deep devotion to the Eucharist and the saints.

"Typically when you think of a Catholic saint, you think of these mystical, distant figures climbing a mountain in a tattered old brown habit. But Blessed Carlo was a guy like you've probably met a million times," Scheel says.

Blessed Carlo Acutis thought sanctity was a choice available to all.

He famously said, "Everyone is born as an original, but many people end up dying as photocopies."

Dario says Carlo believed with daily commitment, “You too can be a saint, but you need to want it with your whole heart, and if you don't have a desire for it right now, ask the Lord for it, and you will see, He will give it to you.'"

Even as a teenager, Carlo disciplined himself, limiting his time spent on the internet and playing video games to focus on what truly mattered.

"Once finding out that he was dying of leukemia, he told his doctors and his mom: 'I'm glad to die this way because I have not spent one moment doing anything that would not displease the Lord.'”

Dario and the guys say that understanding Blessed Carlo's life will inspire us to seek holiness, starting right now!

“That was his program in his life: always to be united to Jesus."
