Hear the Lord's Prayer Spoken in Jesus' ORIGINAL Language of Aramaic

The New Testament was written in ancient Greek, but Jesus most likely spoke the language Aramaic as his everyday language. That means when he gave certain teachings, such as the words of the Lord’s Prayer, they were likely originally given in Aramaic.
The video below is the Lord’s Prayer in Aramaic! We don’t know for certain the exact words of the Aramaic original given by Jesus, but this is a traditional version that is likely similar, if not identical, to the original.
Many Catholics may not be aware that one of the Eastern Catholic Churches, the Maronite Catholic Church, still preserves Aramaic and uses it in their liturgy. So if you ever want to hear Aramaic spoken in-person, see if there’s a Maronite Catholic Church in your town!
