Wow! Praise God!

Hallmark Channel issued an apology after removing all mention of Unplanned from the Movieguide Awards show broadcast on Feb. 24. The show will re-air with the Unplanned nominations on Mon., Mar. 9.

Movieguide founder and publisher Ted Baehr sent this apology on Hallmark’s behalf:

“We have scheduled the MOVIEGUIDE® Awards to re-air on Hallmark Drama on Monday, March 9th at 10 PM. It will also be available on the TV Everywhere app. All telecasts will include mentions of the film, ‘Unplanned’ and its lead actress, Ashley Bratcher. We at Crown Media [Hallmark] extend our sincere apologies to Ashley.”

As ChurchPOP reported earlier this week, Unplanned actress Ashley Bratcher announced that Hallmark cut the film entirely from the Movieguide Awards, despite receiving three nominations.

Baehr said he “hates abortion” and “fought” for Unplanned‘s nominations in this year’s show, despite many of Movieguide’s staff, as well as its judges, saying they “hated” the movie.

“The people who did not like it were pregnant women who are pro-life and fight for life, but did not like the violence, the jump cuts and the bifurcated plot,” Baehr said.

“They are women who have fought against abortion for years. One cries when she reads anything about abortion because she loves children.”

Movieguide president and COO Robby Baehr said Hallmark directed videographer Jeremy Carroll in the final edits for broadcast.

“The broadcast was cut and edited by us under direction by Hallmark Channel and their representatives. All final creative approval was done by Hallmark and not Movieguide or its editor Jeremy Carroll,” Robby Baehr said.

Ted Baehr also personally called Bratcher and apologized. Bratcher issued an official statement thanking her followers. She said she accepted Hallmark’s apologies.

Bratcher’s full tweet reads, “Hallmark has gone on the record and the MovieGuide Awards will re-air to include Unplanned’s nominations on 3/9 @ 10PM on @HallmarkDrama. Please be sure to tune in or stream on the Hallmark app! 🎉 I have received and accepted apologies. Extend grace, my friends. 🕊 Thanks to all.”
