Prayer is powerful and God hears us!
On Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, which started the war in Israel and Gaza. Currently, Hezbollah terrorists are threatening another war with Israel.
This war will be even more devastating than the current war!
On Sunday, June 30, the head of the Lebanese Catholic Church, the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rai, called for a Day of Prayer for peace in Lebanon and the region, and especially prayers against a new war with Israel.
SpiritualDirection.com and Philos Project are leading an emergency novena for the protection of Christians and all innocents in the Near East, particularly in Israel and Lebanon in a time of escalation in violence between these two nations.
This novena will begin on the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (July 16) and end on the Feast of Saint Charbel (July 24), the Lebanese priest, monk, and miracle worker.

Mount Carmel, located in Northern Israel, also known as Mount Elijah (see the Book of Kings), is about 100 miles from Mount Lebanon, located in Southern Lebanon, near where Saint Charbel lived as a hermit.
We plan to ask Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Charbel to intercede on our behalf to prevent this new war.
Let us pray this novena together in spiritual solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Lebanon and the Near East.

Novena Prayer
Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Charbel, we pray in these nine days that two peoples divided by war may come together and pray for peace, and that the two holy mountains, Mount Carmel and Mount Lebanon, 100 miles apart, may become symbols of peace and unity.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel, we pray for your intercession for the Holy Land, where the prophet Saint Elijah preached, that the people of the region may live in peace.
We implore your help to liberate the hostages and return them to their families, that this war will end, that people will turn away from terror, and that there will not be a worse war in the region.
Saint Charbel, we pray for your miraculous intercession, that Lebanon may be free from war and the grip of terror, for the protection of the most vulnerable Christian communities, and that Lebanon may once more be a message to the world of peace.
