Great news: Devin Rose’s super popular novena praying app has finally come to Android!
There are two common problems among Catholics related to praying novenas: first, remembering to pray each day; and second, keeping track of what you are supposed to pray each day.
Rose’s easy-to-use app, called “Pray: the Catholic Novena App,” is FREE to download and solves both of these problems. Notifications on your smartphone ensure you don’t miss a day, and the specific prayers for each day are automatically laid out for you. It’ll get you praying more novenas than you ever have before.
With thousands of people all over the world praying more novenas, who knows how the world might be changed?
When he and his friend Chad released the iOS version of the app last summer, Rose says he wasn’t sure if “anyone would find it useful or not.” But to his delight, “the app was a huge hit, with thousands of people downloading it and praying novenas in the first week it was out.”
“Since then,” Rose explains, “novena requests have come pouring into my inbox, along with prayer requests for big and small petitions. It has been touching and also a blessing to be a small part of someone’s journey of faith.”
Next, they plan on creating a Spanish version of the app.
Rose is a convert to Catholicism, blogs at St. Joseph’s Vanguard, and is the author of several popular books, including The Protestant’s Dilemma: How the Reformation’s Shocking Consequences Point to the Truth of Catholicism published by Catholic Answers.
