CNN Anchor Claims "Jesus Was NOT Perfect" on LIVE TV with Chris Cuomo, Priest Responds
CNN Anchor Don Lemon denied Christ’s divinity in a discussion with Chris Cuomo on CNN Tonight with Don Lemon.
Chris Cuomo listened to Lemon accuse Americans of deifying the Founding Fathers, opening with “Jesus, admittedly, was not perfect here on this earth.”
Here’s the video below:
If someone is going to be brought in as an expert on a news show, they should know what they are talking about. Jesus was perfect as he was true God & true man. Europe & the Mediterranean dedicated 3 centuries (325-681) to solving this question. https://t.co/RGen8NjXoT

Lemon says, ” “Here’s the thing: Jesus Christ, (if that’s who you believe in)—Jesus Christ, admittedly, was not perfect when he was here on this earth. So why are we deifying the founders of this country? Many of whom owned slaves. And in the constitution, the original one, they didn’t want—they put slavery in there—that slavery should be abolished. Because it was the way the king wanted it. And then the Congress said, ‘No way!’
Responding to the video, Daily Wire talk show host Michael Knowles said “Prominent leftists don’t understand even the most basic aspects of the most basic things we believe.”
Fr. Matthew Schneider, LC, retweeted the video with this comment:
“If someone is going to be brought in as an expert on a news show, they should know what they are talking about. Jesus was perfect as he was true God and true man. Europe & the Mediterranean dedicated 3 centuries (325-681) to solving this question.”
Fr. Schneider’s added, “I mention the history as even someone who was not an expert on religion but was an expert on history… should know about these debates and the results as the history of the Roman empire then doesn’t make sense without a basic understanding.”
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches this on Christ’s divinity:
“Following the holy Fathers, we unanimously teach and confess one and the same Son, our Lord Jesus Christ: the same perfect in divinity and perfect in humanity, the same truly God and truly man, composed of rational soul and body; consubstantial with the Father as to his divinity and consubstantial with us as to his humanity; “like us in all things but sin”. He was begotten from the Father before all ages as to his divinity and in these last days, for us and for our salvation, was born as to his humanity of the virgin Mary, the Mother of God.” (CCC 467)
