Social Media Responds to Father Steve Jakubowski's "Jeopardy!" Appearance
Father Jakubowski's appearance created a stir on social media, with people commenting on his physical appearance. Countless X users called him the "hot priest," which is a reference to the Hot Priest character on Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s show, Fleabag.
One user said, "There was a hot priest on 'Jeopardy!'... [I don't know] I just feel like in these trying times everyone should know that."
Another user commented, "On top of everything else, there was a hot priest on 'Jeopardy!'. Incredible."
This user even published a short video of Father Jakubowski's appearance.
"There's a hot priest on "Jeopardy!" now?" the user wrote.
However, Father Jakubowski's physical appearance isn't the only thing users commented on. One user said he "killed it" on the religion questions.
"My first thought when I tuned into 'Jeopardy!' tonight was 'Is this a wake? Why is everyone wearing black??' Then I realized one of the contestants was a priest," the user said. "So, mea culpa, Fr. Steve. Sorry you didn't win, but you killed it on the religion-related questions!"
Father Jakubowski's parish Catholic school in Austin also published a video of students watching the "Jeopardy!" episode:
Father Jakubowski told Fox News Digital that he had a "great experience" on the show.
"[Ken Jennings] and all the producers and team were very kind to me with the novelty of having a Catholic priest on the show," he said in a statement. "I hope it gave a positive impression of my community and the Church."
