Breathtaking! Pro-Life Students Sing Enchanting Hymn in IL State Capitol
This is so beautiful!
On January 20th, 2017, pro-life students visited the Illinois State Capitol building and did something amazing: they filled the huge domed hall with an enchanting hymn to the Holy Innocents as a way of witnessing to the pro-life cause.
And yes, it was as amazing as it sounds!
Here’s the video:
The group singing was Crusaders for Life, a pro-life teen group known for their positivity, prayer, and yellow clothing. Though it was started by people from St. John Cantius parish in Chicago, IL (a parish famous for its traditional architecture, music, and liturgy), the group now has chapters around the country.
If you’ve ever attended the March for Life in Washington D.C. or in Chicago, they’re the energetic group of young people all dressed in yellow – you can’t miss them!
In January 2016, their bus got stranded in a snow storm on their way home from the March for Life and they ended up holding a beautiful and reverent impromptu Mass in a small motel in which the students sang multi-part chant (not to be confused with the famous Turnpike Mass).
Here’s a video showing clips of the Crusaders for Life participating in a pro-life event:
