"All Glory to God!": Chris Pratt Turns to Faith Amid Social Media Backlash
“All Glory to God!” 🙌
Chris Pratt posted a photo on Instagram, generating negative feedback from followers.
However, rather than responding spitefully, he expressed how his Christian faith carried him through this difficulty.
The 42-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy actor honored his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger in the post, thanking her for their “beautiful and healthy” daughter.
This comment resulted in intense backlash, as the actor’s oldest child, Jack, with first wife, Anna Farris, struggles with multiple health problems.

Here’s what some users said:
One user wrote, “Imagine having a disabled child and bragging about the ‘healthy’ child.”
Another user said, “I notice the emphasis on her ‘giving’ you a ‘healthy’ child. It seems your first child wasn’t good enough.”
Another user added, “Wow! Forgot your boy already.”
Pratt then posted a photo in Instagram stories a few days later.
“I went to bed last night really kind of upset and depressed,” he said.
“I woke up…and didn’t want to exercise,” Pratt added. “I knew though that if I put on my Christian music playlist, and I got out in the woods and ran, that I’d feel better, but I just didn’t want to.”
“And I did it anyways, and, gosh, was I right. It felt amazing,” he continued. “God sat there right next to me.”
“That moment, it really captured me, and so I just want to say, all glory to God.”
Pratt then encouraging his followers to read the Bible.
“Get some exercise, maybe listen to some good worship music and maybe get the Word in, because it really helped me this morning.”
Church teaching on rash judgement
Regardless of one’s thoughts about Chris Pratt’s actions, Christ calls us to treat one another with love, respect, and dignity. We are not aware of Pratt’s full intentions as he posted this photo.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church says, “Respect for the reputation of persons forbids every attitude and word likely to cause them unjust injury.
“He becomes guilty:
– “of rash judgment who, even tacitly, assumes as true, without sufficient foundation, the moral fault of a neighbor;”
– “of calumny who, by remarks contrary to the truth, harms the reputation of others and gives occasion for false judgments concerning them.”
“To avoid rash judgment, everyone should be careful to interpret insofar as possible his neighbor’s thoughts, words, and deeds in a favorable way:
“Every good Christian ought to be more ready to give a favorable interpretation to another’s statement than to condemn it. But if he cannot do so, let him ask how the other understands it. and if the latter understands it badly, let the former correct him with love. If that does not suffice, let the Christian try all suitable ways to bring the other to a correct interpretation so that he may be saved.”
