3 Phenomena This Priest Witnessed During His 1200-Mile Eucharistic Pilgrimage
How far would you walk with Jesus?
On this episode of “The Catholic Gentleman,” John Heinen joins Father Roger Landry to discuss his over 1200-mile Eucharistic pilgrimage and the extraordinary miracles he experienced along the way!
1) Protection from Pain and Injury
Despite the grueling nature of the pilgrimage, Father Landry received an unexpected grace—freedom from pain and injury.
“I was prepared for pain because I had no ability to train... but the Lord, whom I was holding, upheld me. It wasn’t an issue,” he said.
Even after walking with the Blessed Sacrament for up to 14 hours a day, he and his fellow pilgrims avoided injuries you might expect from an intense journey. He says this shows how the presence of Christ can truly sustain us!
2) Conversions That Defied Expectations
In Xenia, Ohio, a young man was so moved by the presence of the Eucharistic Lord that he spontaneously emptied his pockets of drugs and vices into a trash can. After kneeling in the grass to pray, he accompanied them on the procession.
“He emptied his pockets of all his drugs...and said, ‘I can’t do this anymore after what just happened.’”
Father Landry says this was just one of many lives touched by the presence of Christ on this journey!
3) A Rainbow at Mass
During an outdoor Mass in Loretto, Pennsylvania, when Father Landry referenced a rainbow during his homily, a rainbow suddenly appeared in the sky, perfectly timed with his words.
The congregation gasped in amazement, seeing it as a clear sign of God’s presence with them.
“Out of nowhere, a rainbow appears in the sky just like it was earlier,” Father Landry recounts.
The gentlemen say that this journey will inspire you to draw closer to Christ in your own life!
