Britney Spears Says She's Catholic & Attending Mass

Pop star Britney Spears announced in an Instagram post on Aug. 5 that she converted to Catholicism.

Spears posted a video of herself twirling in a blue dress along with the caption, “I just got back from Mass…I’m Catholic now…Let us pray 🙏🏼 !

Here’s a screenshot of the post’s text below:

“I mean this is always an option too… casual…it’s another perspective I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ !!!! This is a typical mood for me as my sister would say….MOOD! I’m just not sure why I look so skinny here,” the first portion of her post says.

“I just got back from Mass…I’m Catholic now…let us pray🙏🏼 !!!”

However, Spears later deleted the post. She did not reveal the details regarding the announcement or what it means.

The 39-year-old singer made recent headlines amidst alleged conservatorship abuse. She testified in a June 23 court hearing that she’s a victim of forced labor and isolation, and forced contraception use.

“I want to be able to get married and have a baby,” Spears testified.

“I was told right now in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby. I have an [IUD] inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant. I wanted to take the [IUD] out so I could start trying to have another baby.

“But this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don’t want me to have children — any more children.”

Whether or not Spears announcement is serious, let us continue to pray for her.
