Today, Pope Francis gave an Urbi et Orbi blessing during Eucharistic adoration today in an empty St. Peter’s Square.

The Vatican streamed the blessing LIVE on multiple media outlets. Pope Francis prayed for the world and gave the Urbi et Orbi (to the City [Rome] and the World) Eucharistic blessing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

This blessing is normally only administered on Christmas and Easter. The faithful tuning in live were also eligible for a possible plenary indulgence.

One commenter during the ceremony in the Facebook live-stream revealed a major conversion to Christianity. The woman said she was agnostic, but now believes.

Here’s the post below:

Translated from Italian, Facebook user Lara Eugeni said, “I never believed, I was always agnostic. Yet now I am here with tears praying that all this will end. Lord, protect the people I love. I just want to be able to hug my family again.”

Let us pray for Lara, as well as all non-Christians, that they will come to know God.
