Please pray for Dan Burke!
UPDATE from Dan’s wife, Stephanie:
“Dan’s tubes were removed this morning and he has been breathing on his own. His oxygen levels are good and his fever is receding, only coming at night now. The nurse feels that if he continues like this, they will be moving him out of ICU later today or tomorrow.
“He has a long way to go, but I think it is safe to say he has turned the corner.”
Burke’s Facebook page made this announcement on Tuesday:

“URGENT PRAYER REQUEST:
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I’ve been asked to let you know that Dan Burke is in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. Stephanie is home, in isolation.
I am asking you now to please offer up your day for the Burkes and for their healing.
Please consider fasting or offering up a meal, or anything else you enjoy. Just give it up for Dan. He needs us now.
Storm heaven with prayer. Ask for his father to intercede (Art Burke) for his son.

In the TLM calendar, today is the Feast of the Archangel Gabriel.
Let us offer this prayer to him:
O blessed Archangel Gabriel,
loving messenger of the Incarnation,
we beseech thee,
descend upon all those for whom we wish peace, health, and happiness,
especially those suffering from the coronavirus and its effects,
including Dan and Stephanie Burke.
Do thou intercede for us
at the throne of Divine Mercy
in our present necessities,
that as thou didst announce to Mary
the mystery of the Incarnation,
so through thy prayers and patronage in heaven,
we may obtain the benefits of the same,
and sing the praise of God forever
in the land of the living.
Finally, recall the sublime words you spoke
on the day of the Annunciation:
“Nothing is impossible with God,”
Repeat them in these hours of trial,
to all whom we love,
that their confidence in Our Lord
may be reanimated,
when all human help fails.
