St. Padre Pio prayed the Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus every day for the intentions of those who requested his prayers.
St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, the saint most well-known for spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, wrote this prayer.
The faithful join in praying this novena nine days before the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
