Now this is cool! 😱

105-year-old Knight of Columbus and World War II Veteran Fred M. Rom recently shared his advice with the Knights of Columbus about being a holy family man.

It’s hard to believe he’s 105, because he certainly doesn’t look it!

In the video entitledLeading the Family By Example,”  the caption explains that “the world has changed dramatically since April 3, 1913, when Fred M. Rom was born in New York City. But the values he learned as the son of Catholic immigrants have stayed with him.”

Listen to his great advice in the video below:

Rom says, “The first thing you want to do, as far as a family, is to lead an excellent, Catholic life. Don’t be a drinker, don’t stay out late at night, you know, do all the things that guys do to have a good time.”

He continued, “Be a good father who leads the family along his line of thinking, so that when they grow up and they have a life with a family, they know what’s right and what’s wrong, and what is useful and detrimental to a family.”

This is the first in a series of videos featuring the 105-year-old Knight and veteran, so be sure to continue checking the Knights’ Facebook page for more videos!
