Actor Mark Wahlberg and his wife Rhea have been very public about their Catholic faith, posting Ash Wednesday greetings and calling for more priestly vocations. Recently, their daughter Grace had her first Reconciliation, and they posted about it on Instagram.
First, Rhea showed herself, Mark, and their daughter grace driving to the church for Grace’s first Reconciliation.
“We’re going to Grace’s first reconciliation and she is going to make her first confession,” Rhea said. “Grace, how do you feel about that? (Good.) Are you ready to confess? (Yes.) Good girl. And here’s daddy. Big day!”
Next, Rhea posted a picture of herself, Mark, and Grace at the church.
Finally, Rhea posted a picture of Grace praying her penance after her first confession.
Mark Wahlberg was raised Catholic and has been public about his Catholic faith in recent years. His wife, Rhea Durham, is a successful model and converted to Catholicism in 2009 just before their wedding. Together they have four children. Nonetheless, Wahlberg has been criticized for starring in the raunchy comedy film series Ted and appearing to support same-sex marriage.
Say a prayer for Grace as she grows in the faith!
