The fact that some modern Catholic churches don’t exactly look like churches is nothing new.
But this interesting video about the phenomenon from Ave Maria Radio adds an interesting tidbit: apparently studies in the UK have shown that around 13% of young people who have converted to Christianity did so because they were inspired by a beautiful Christian church building.
In other words, how we build churches matters – which makes ugly or uninspiring churches all the more problematic.
