Around 120,000 people attended St. Mother Teresa’s massive canonization Mass in St. Peter’s Square in Rome on Sept. 4, 2016.

“Mother Teresa, in all aspects of her life, was a generous dispenser of divine mercy,” Pope Francis said in his homily, connecting the new saint’s life to the current Year of Mercy, “making herself available for everyone through her welcome and defense of human life, those unborn and those abandoned and discarded.” (Read his full homily here.)
