NARAL Affiliate Upset NFL Encourages Procreation, Recommends IUDs

The Doritos ad wasn’t the only commercial that came under attack from pro-choicers during the Super Bowl.

The NFL ran an ad that claimed that cities with teams that win in the Super Bowl have a bump in the birth rate nine months later. Called “Super Bowl Babies,” the ad featured children whose conception was supposedly inspired by a Super Bowl win from various years singing a song about the phenomenon.

The NARAL Pro-Choice America affiliate in Ohio saw this as a problem, and took the ad as an opportunity to promote IUDs on Twitter: “More Super Bowl babies?!?! Get thee an IUD!”

So is NARAL against procreation just in general? People on Twitter pointed out the implication:
