Well there’s no question where the early Church stood on the question: the Eucharist is Christ himself!

The faith of the Catholic Church has not changed. Yes, we Christians today can benefit from two millennia of theology and doctrinal development; yet the early Church Fathers had such profound insights into the mysteries of the faith.

For any Christians who don’t believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, here’s a friendly challenge: As you read the quotes below, ask yourself if agree with them. If not, realize that your beliefs put you out of line with the earliest Christians.
