Remember the 21 Libyan Christians who bravely stood firm in the faith and were beheaded by ISIS terrorists?

Sacred artist Nikola Sarić has painted a beautiful icon for the martyrs. Like any good icon, it both reveals the seen and the unseen (e.g. Jesus with the martyrs), and is more symbolic than realistic.

The icon is currently on display at the Brenkhausen Monastry in Höxter, Germany. He plans to sell it to raise money for the martyrs’ families. You can contact the artist here.
