Let us continue to pray for the Holy Father! (You can find six ways to do so here.)

As of the writing of this article, Catholic News Agency reported:

“Pope Francis showed ‘a slight improvement’ on Wednesday, the Vatican said Feb. 26, but his ‘prognosis remains reserved.’”

Pope Francis has emphasized mercy, humility, and care for the poor and marginalized throughout his papacy. He has issued several important documents, including two encyclicals: Laudato Si' on environmental stewardship and Fratelli Tutti on human fraternity.

Here are 13 pieces of wisdom from Pope Francis:

"God never tires of forgiving us; we are the ones who tire of seeking his mercy."
“Dear young people, do not be afraid of making decisive choices in life. Have faith; the Lord will not abandon you!”
“The heart of Christ is ‘ecstasy,’ openness, gift, and encounter. In that heart, we learn to relate to one another in wholesome and happy ways and to build up in this world God’s kingdom of love and justice. Our hearts, united with the heart of Christ, are capable of working this social miracle.”
"Situations can change; people can change. Be the first to seek to bring good. Do not grow accustomed to evil, but defeat it with good."
“A Christian without Our Lady is an orphan. A Christian without the Church is also an orphan.”
“Christ asks you never to be ashamed to tell others, with all due discretion and respect, about your friendship with him. He asks that you dare to tell others how good and beautiful it is that you found him.”
"If our hearts are closed, if our hearts are made of stone, the stones find their way into our hands, and we are ready to throw them."
“If we find it hard to trust others because we have been hurt by lies, injuries, and disappointments, the Lord whispers in our ear: ‘Take heart, son!’ (Mt 9:2), ‘Take heart, daughter!’ (Mt 9:22). He encourages us to overcome our fear and to realize that, with him at our side, we have nothing to lose.”
"When he finds us, when he has found the lost sheep, he neither sets it aside nor does he ask us: 'Why did you get lost? Why did you fall?' Rather, he restores what was lost to its proper place."
"We must restore hope to young people, help the old, be open to the future, spread love. Be poor among the poor. We need to include the excluded and preach peace."
"A little bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just."
"Let us care for one another and let us be loving custodians of creation."
"No vocation is born of itself or lives for itself. A vocation flows from the heart of God and blossoms in the good soil of faithful people."
